About Us

The Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency (YSGA) is charged with planning and implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) process in Yolo County.  The YSGA is made up of 26 members, representing urban, agricultural, and environmental interests. The YSGA covers the extent of the Yolo Subbasin, which is shown in the map below.

The Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) was finalized in January 2022 and outlines how the groundwater resource will be managed over the next 20 years. The GSP is a living document that will be updated every five years to incorporate new information and reflect current conditions. Annual reports are submitted to the Department of Water Resources and posted here every year to describe the Subbasin's groundwater conditions and progress toward sustainability.
