The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has released a draft Land Subsidence Best Management Practices document for public comment. The document is meant to provide guidance to local water agencies for addressing land subsidence and to help GSAs meet objectives set by the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act to avoid or minimize current and future impacts of subsidence. The public comment period for the document opens today, July 24, and will close on September 22, 2025. Click here to view the full press release.
